The  TIM Group is at the opening of Expo 2020 Dubai on the 1st of October as Official Platinum Sponsor of the Italy Pavilion to provide the exhibition space with innovation, digital technologies, and last generation sustainable connectivity.

The subtheme of the Italy Pavilion “Beauty Connects People” has inspired the participation of the TIM Group and its subsidiaries Sparkle, Telsy, Olivetti and Noovle which, during the 6-month Expo, through visual narrations and workshops will relate the key role they play at national and international level in promoting digitalization, innovation, and the capacity to connect people.

Sparkle: the TIM Group’s global operator and, as early as August 2019, world leader in enabling 5G roaming between Europe and the Middle East, will provide the Italy Pavilion with the international connectivity enabling it to use high-quality digital services and experiences, including high-definition live streaming and augmented reality solution. Olivetti, the Group’s Italian historical industrial brand and Digital Farm for the Internet of Things (IoT), Telsy, the Group’s subsidiary specialized in Cybersecurity, and Noovle, a centre of excellence for Cloud and Edge computing and Artificial Intelligence, will bring their own capabilities by promoting talks and debates. Also INWIT, Italy’s first Tower Operator and an affiliate of the Group, will be present with an innovative installation: the Smart Tower ‘Venezia’, with its 8.5-metre height in eco-sustainable materials coated with a steel sheath, it will help publicise the Pavilion's programme via LED displays


The importance of innovation and sustainability and the spread of digital intelligence for the Country’s recovery as well as for the global economy will be the focus of the TIM Group’s participation in the event, in line with its commitment in environmental, social, and governance issues (ESG) envisaged in the ‘Beyond Connectivity’ strategic plan.
