Teams of students and researchers will compete on four technological macro-themes of relevant importance for the space sector: “Space Exploration”, “In Orbit Servicing”, “GeoInformation Applications and Platforms” and “Space Situation Awareness & Space Traffic Management”.
Promoting innovation in the space sector among young generations by highlighting its underlying ideas and insights and imagining together the technologies that will mark our future. These are the objectives of #T-TeC, Telespazio Technology Contest, the Open Innovation initiative launched by Telespazio and Leonardo. For the first time, the third edition is open to University Department students and researchers worldwide and will have the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai as an exceptional stage.
During the week that Expo 2020 Dubai is going to dedicate to Space, from 17 to 23 October, contestants will be able to connect with the Italy Pavilion to share questions and ask for advice from Leonardo and Telespazio experts who will take the opportunity to meet with Emirati start-ups and university students. From there, the #T-TeC will continue until the 14th of November, the closing day of the contest, which will again see the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, as an exceptional stage for the prize awarding ceremony in December.
Leonardo is a Platinum Sponsor of the Italy Pavilion at the Universal Expo, where it will bring spearheading space technologies such as an atomic clock and a drill to be used on Mars by the ESA’s ExoMars 2022 mission, in addition to relating its own vision of the future of the aeronautical sector represented by the AW609, the tiltrotor designed to revolutionize vertical mobility.
