“With our presence, we want to underscore the Liguria Region’s strong will to turn page on a season unarguably more difficult than others, to build a new and, to some extent, unprecedented phase of growth and development,” said the Liguria Region’s President, Giovanni Toti, on the Region’s participation in the Italy Pavilion at Expo Dubai.
It is a presence with “multifaceted meanings”, said Toti: “First of all, it means underscoring our Region’s contribution to the big collective narration of our Country based on Beauty. Then, while focusing on the theme of yachting next March, we want to represent and support our presence in the ‘blue economy’, a strategic area in the global market.”
Also Liguria’s landscapes and monuments will be part of the narrative at the Italy Pavilion, thanks to the film shot for the occasion by Oscar-winning film director Salvatores that visitors will be able to admire in the Belvedere Section, at the beginning of the exhibition itinerary. “The film crews – reads a post on the Region’s website – will narrate the many authentic beauties of our territory: Dolceacqua, the Abbey of San Fruttuoso and the Royal Palace of Genoa, at the Belvedere Section”.
