“Expo Dubai marks a new beginning, a new page to foster the restarting and relaunching of the tourism, industry and crafts sectors”. With these words, the Governor of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, discusses his Region’s presence at the Italy Pavilion during the Arab world’s first Universal Expo.
“A journey to kindle hope, one which feels like a true Renaissance, a chance to rediscover the beauty and opportunities of local territories. At the same time, it is a way to consolidate international relations following a global crisis and its impact on all countries, indiscriminately”, continues Zaia.
While mentioning the Region’s beauties that Oscar-winning film director Gabriele Salvatores will be showing in the Pavilion’s Belvedere section videos, Zaia adds: “The Veneto will portray the beauties and history of a land yet to be discovered. From Venice to the Dolomites, from the Lagoon to the Prosecco Conegliano and Valdobbiadene Hills, from the walled cities to the Palladian villas, from Verona’s Arena to the Po Delta, it conveys a sense of the strong bond uniting not just the extraordinary World Heritage sites, but also thousands of its truly unique beauties”.
