“The Italy Pavilion will be an example of the collaborative model leading towards the ‘green’ transition”. With this remark during his presentation at ‘Climate Exp0: a fusion of science and policy, advancing a resilient, zero-carbon world’, the event held six months before Glasgow’s United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), the Minister of Sustainable Infrastructures and Mobility, Enrico Giovannini, underlined the importance of our country’s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai.
“I am very pleased that Expo 2020 Dubai will give us the opportunity to compare best practices and understand how countries intend to deal with the challenges linked to sustainability, the green economy and the 2030 Agenda. Expo’s three key words are Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability. They coincide with Italy’s philosophy and approach to these challenges”, said Mr. Giovannini, before underscoring how “Italy is working on a real diplomacy of sustainability, supporting the idea of having sustainability linked to competitiveness, excellence and job opportunities for all types of businesses and people”
“I have the intention of personally attending some initiatives and conferences promoted by Italy’s Commissioner, Paolo Glisenti, and by the organizers, within the context of the Urban & Rural Development Week, but also during the theme week on the Sustainable Development Goals, which I myself contributed to”
