“Future Education – Italy Expo 2020: Rethinking education for a world of change”. The Commissioner’s Office for Italy’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, during the initiatives for the “One Year to Go” celebrations, launches an extraordinary programme for involving and engaging youths to tackle the most urgent challenges facing our planet.
The Commissioner General, Paolo Glisenti, Stefania Giannini, UNESCO Assistant Director General for Education, and Annina Mattsson, Director of RewirED - Global Summit on Education, present a co-design marathon, #DigitalChallenges, specifically dedicated to the future of education – a core topic of the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Starting from the forthcoming weeks, the challenge will engage hundreds of youths from around the globe: with the help of mentors and experts, they will work in teams and exchange ideas remotely with the chief aim of finding innovative solutions to the challenges proposed.
All international students aged between sixteen and twenty-one years are invited to participate. The participation notice can be consulted on the Italy Expo 2020 website and will remain open until 15th October. On the basis of the applications received, various teams will be formed according to a criterion privileging the utmost diversity (school, university, age, city/region/territory/country).
Participating in the programme will be a golden opportunity in terms of education, orientation and personal networking, with special reference to the meeting/debate between international students.
