As the country leading the group of participating countries that have chosen education as the core theme of their participation, Italy will stage – before and after the Dubai Expo – a rich calendar of educational events dedicated to students and teachers from around the globe. By acknowledging the peer mentoring programme, Italy becomes the first country to mobilise an entire community of young volunteers, enabling the peer-to-peer mode as a good international practice in conducting highly innovative training activities of high cultural significance.
In the build-up to Expo Dubai, the peer mentors will support the Italian Commissioner’s Office in constructing innovative programmes for which other youths will be involved and mobilised on the themes and challenges of Expo 2020: Opportunity, Sustainability, Mobility.
