The current health emergency has forced the General Commissioner’s Office of Section for Italy’s Participation in Expo 2020 Dubai and the Foundation of the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) to cancel the programme of curricular work placements at the Dubai and Rome Commissioner’s Offices, which was already underway. But it is only a postponement: the Commissioner’s Office and CRUI Foundation are committed to checking timescales and ways of coming up with a new internship programme leading up to any new dates confirmed on 21st April by the BIE.
One of the consequences of cancelling the current programme is also the cancellation of two student community meetings scheduled for the end of this month at L’Orientale University of Naples and Ca’ Foscari in Venice. In late 2019 almost 300 students from all over Italy responded to the selection process for a three-month internship promoted by the CRUI Foundation and the Commissioner’s Office. Applications were received from undergraduates studying at 28 state-supported and private universities.
