Italian fashion and the companies of its supply chain will take centre stage at the Italy Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai. The announcement came from the Milano Fashion Global Summit, where the Italian General Commissioner for Expo 2020, Paolo Glisenti, and the Project Designer of the Pavilion, Davide Rampello, both intervened.
“Fashion reflects a harmonious merging of skills and know-how that perfectly embody the spirit and values of Expo 2020 Dubai”, highlighted Glisenti. An event in the Italy Pavilion dedicated to this sector will allow for optimally expressing Italy’s identity from the perspective of beauty, fuelled and generated by the know-how rooted in the local territories. In Dubai, the sector’s leading subjects will have the opportunity to explain the interactions between the fashion world and other sectors, starting from cinema and its influence on fashion.
The Milano Fashion Global Summit is an annual event organised by Class Editori in partnership with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, The Wall Street Journal and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Every year, it gathers the sector’s leading exponents and other eminent figures from around the globe to discuss and analyse the new opportunities and challenges that the fashion and luxury goods sector is having to face amid a continuously evolving market. The Summit is aimed at business leaders and senior managers and is conceived – uniquely among its kind – as a meeting opportunity between the creative, industrial, distribution and financial sectors.
